Welcome to Philanthropy Physics
Welcome! I’m Tracy Overstreet, Founder of Philanthropy Physics.
After more than 30 years in the nonprofit sector, I’ve seen how fundraising success often comes down to one thing: leverage.
In physics, a small force applied at just the right point can move something massive.
In fundraising, the same principle applies - principal and major gift partners (or anchor donors) are the levers and fulcrums that make ambitious goals achievable.
Philanthropy Physics was built on that principle.
We help organizations identify and engage those key partners; the high-capacity, high-affinity individuals, foundations, and corporations who can create exponential momentum for your mission.

My experience blends nonprofit leadership with analytical precision.
I hold a Master of Nonprofit Administration (MNA) from the University of Notre Dame, an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Duke University, and have held professional certifications as both a CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) and PMP (Project Management Professional). My research and proprietary algorithms for identifying high-net-worth donors with affinity to give, helps organizations unlock unforeseen funding and long-term sustainability.

My introduction to physics began while serving aboard a nuclear submarine in the U.S. Navy, where I witnessed the raw power of precision and leverage firsthand. That experience, combined with having a father-in-law who was a physicist, taught me that the principles of physics also apply to philanthropy and fundraising.

At Philanthropy Physics, our mission is simple:
help you maximize funding and impact while minimizing effort and time. When your fundraising gains momentum and a solid foundation, you can focus on what matters most - your mission and changing lives.
"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world."
